From a calming Yogalates session to hands-on music, sports and creative workshops, United Square and Velocity@Novena Square are making school-holiday outings feel a little more purposeful.
Some mall visits are for errands. Others turn into a small reset for the week.

I recently joined a Yogalates session at Yoga Edition in Velocity@Novena Square—a refreshing mid-day blend of yoga stretches and Pilates-inspired movements. The class was gentle but still gave the body a good wake-up call, with focused movements that worked on posture, balance and core strength. It was the kind of session that makes you step out feeling lighter, more grounded, and slightly more ready to face the rest of the day.
The Yogalates class is part of Urban Beat at Velocity@Novena Square, UOL Malls’ school-holiday programme that brings together movement, music and hands-on experiences for both adults and families. Over at United Square, its sister campaign, U-CAMP, has a more family-led line-up filled with creative, educational and active workshops for little ones.

At Velocity@Novena Square, there is plenty for those looking to try something beyond their usual gym or café routine. Yoga Edition has introduced a mix of Pilates Foundation, Hot Pilates, Traditional Yoga, Hot Yoga, Yogalates and Gentle Yoga sessions for adults. Families can also head to Climb Central for a climbing session, while older children and adults can get hands-on with drum, acoustic guitar and electric guitar workshops by Believer Music. There are also beginner-friendly pickleball workshops, Muay Thai and self-defence sessions by Fight Zone, making it an easy place to turn a regular outing into an active afternoon.

United Square leans into its reputation as a family-friendly destination, with activities that let children explore new interests while having fun. Young creatives can take part in art jamming with Tree Art, while curious little learners can try beginner chess sessions with Chess at Three, coding and robotics workshops with Futurum Academy, or Chinese craft activities with Hua Language Centre. There are also workshops centred around writing and speaking confidence, music discovery, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and basketball. It is a nice reminder that school holidays do not always need to be packed with big plans—sometimes, a short workshop can be enough to spark a new hobby.

For parents looking to spend meaningful time together with their children, AsterSpring’s parent-and-child skincare fundamentals workshop is also a thoughtful option. Meanwhile, younger children can enjoy playtime at Smigy Playground, giving families a mix of structured activities and fuss-free fun in one place.

U-CAMP runs at United Square from 29 May to 12 July 2026, while Urban Beat at Velocity@Novena Square runs from 29 May to 5 July 2026. U-POPP members can also enjoy workshop purchase privileges with qualifying spend, so it is worth checking the respective mall websites or customer service counters for the latest availability and redemption details.
Whether it is a mid-day Yogalates class, a first attempt at pickleball, or a child’s introduction to chess, coding or music, UOL Malls’ holiday programmes offer an easy excuse to swap screen time for something a little more active, creative and memorable.
