Craving for a delicious bowl of Herbal Bak Kut Teh that’s less than $10?
Feng Xiang started when its Malaysian-born founders were craving home-cooked meals at a time when borders between Singapore and Malaysia were closed. It started out from one outlet in Singapore, and now it has 4 branches in Singapore, perfect for Westie and Eastie!
Top on their menu is the Herbal Bak Kut Teh (from $7.90), which is undoubtedly the star of the menu! Their signature broth has been boiled for many hours to achieve its flavourful taste. Imagine a blend of traditional spices along with tender chunks of pork ribs in your mouth!
You should definitely make room for another of their signature – Sliced Pork Fried Porridge ($6.90 – $11.90). The porridge is simmered in a special broth and then fried in a wok for the ultimate smoky wok-hei flavour. You can add on additional abalones or sliced pork for the extra fragrance and final oomph!
If you’re a fan of fried frog legs, you would love their marinated frog legs that’s coated with batter, then deep fried for the crispy texture. This dish is so immensely savory that you can find it at almost every table at Feng Xiang.
They have their vinegar pork trotter, Feng Xiang special pork cutlet, stir-fried lady fingers and fried intestine on their menu that you certainly will not be disappointed with!
Everything on the menu is within $10, so you wouldn’t need to break the bank just to have a delicious bowl of authentic Bak Kut Teh!
