Geneco’s 5th Anniversary Campaign Puts Green Initiatives in the Spotlight, Paving the Way for Future Generations

As Singapore’s No. 1 residential electricity retailer, Geneco has always been at the forefront of the nation’s efforts to reduce its carbon footprint and promote sustainability. 

To celebrate its 5th anniversary this year, Geneco has unveiled a new campaign that puts green initiatives in the spotlight. The Geneco FiVesta campaign will see the launch of the #SeedTheFuture initiative on 1st April, which aims to pave the way towards Singapore Green Plan 2030 and build a greener home for all. It comprises two strategic approaches to ease and encourage more Singaporeans to adopt a greener lifestyle.

Power Eco Add-On 2.0

With Power Eco Add-on, Geneco has seen 10 times more customers sign up for a conventional green plan than new and re-contracting customers since offering Singapore’s first and only customisable green add-on for electricity plans in 2021. Nearly 40% of those who opted for the Power Eco Add-On chose to offset 100% of carbon emissions, compared to 25%, 50%, and 75% options.

Following this successful launch, Geneco’s Power Eco Add-On will be extended to all of its residential customers starting 1st April. They are excited to enable more customers to make green choices.

Partnerships with Garden City Fund and Apiary to further ‘Power The Change’

With the launch of Power Eco Add-on 2.0 and the #SeedTheFuture initiative, Geneco is partnered with the Singapore Botanic Gardens Seed Bank and popular ice cream brand Apiary to emphasize the importance of conserving seeds of endangered plants in Southeast Asia.

Using natively found fruits and seeds, the ice cream is flavoured with calamansi lime and attap seeds, one of the Seed Bank’s preserved seeds. In addition to depicting how seeds are planted, the presentation of the ice cream includes golden cereal crumbles baked with butter and sugar to represent the soil, and attap seeds placed in the concave dip have been replicated in an ice cream presentation.

The limited edition flavour will be available from 1st – 30th April at all Apiary outlets and its online store. Geneco customers will receive 10% off this exclusive ice cream pint at all Apiary outlets, which includes separately packed attap seeds and cereal crumbles (Usual Price $19).
