Originally scheduled to be released in 2014, based on the adaptation of Jiubadao (九把刀) novel of the same name, A Choo (打噴嚏) starring Ariel Lin (林依晨) and Kai Ko (柯震東), is finally released after waiting six years!
Jiubadao is also known for these popular Taiwanese movies, also based on his novels – “You Are The Apple Of My Eye” and “Cafe. Waiting. Love.”
A Choo is a love story between EJ (Kai Ko) and Hsin-Hsin (Ariel Lin). Set in a world with superheroes, many children became orphans when a fight between Flash (guest appearance by Louis Koo) and Dr Cube (Vanness Wu, 吴建豪) went awry. EJ and Hsin-Hsin, together with Yeh Chien-Han (Darren Wang Ta Lu, 王大陸), are among the children who end up in an orphanage.
As they grew up, Hsin-Hsin left the orphanage to work in the city. EJ, on the other hand, swore to be “the bravest man” to earn Hsin-Hsin’s love and devoted himself to become a boxer. However, as Dr Cube begins to threaten the life of Hsin-Hsin, EJ soon comes to realise where his true superpower lies.
To top it off, A Choo also has guest appearances by famous Hong Kong actor Louis Koo (古天樂) and the iconic Taiwanese TV host Hsu Nai-lin (徐乃麟). With local theatres resuming operations, you can now catch A Choo in the cinemas!
